MINNEAPOLIS – April 9, 2012 – Daikin McQuay introduces its new Vision Plus air handler. This system is for applications requiring high static pressure, low leak construction that are typically encountered when advanced filtration and energy recovery are required.
The Vision Plus option provides the ability to attain a maximum of Class 6 leakage at up to +/-8" of internal static pressure per ASHRAE’s 111 Standard, which is well under the industry’s high performance leakage standard of one percent. This new option further expands the flexibility of the Vision line and provides building owners with an outstanding solution for applications requiring increased filtration such as in healthcare facilities, clean rooms or labs. Vision Plus, along with Vision’s extensive energy saving options, modular design flexibility, and easy cost saving installation, make the Vision Plus air handler an out-of-box solution for demanding applications.

The Daikin McQuay Vision Plus is one of three industry-leading technologies unveiled by the company this fall. Other new technologies include the Daikin McQuay Rebel™ commercial rooftop unit, which will be the industry’s most efficient unit available, challenging the status quo for energy efficiency with unbeatable part-load efficiencies that are 60-70 percent better than the ASHRAE 90.1 minimum standard. The Daikin McQuay SmartSource™ water source heat pump with the industry’s first variable-speed inverter is another technology, which boasts energy efficiency ratings unreachable by competing technologies.
