Development Engineer II - PLY07-68

Duties:

• Development Engineering for Compressorized products.
• Support the design of new or redesigned products as a member of a collaborative cross-functional development team.
• Using available modeling tools, size and select refrigeration, air-moving and filtration components to design efficient, cost-effective commercial HVAC products.
• Provide work direction to Drafters during mechanical and electrical design of new or redesigned products.
• Coordinate fabrication of test prototypes.
• Design prototype test programs to assure that product design meets performance and safety requirements in accordance with applicable product safety standards.
• Provide work direction for Test Technicians and analyze/document test results.
• Prepare complete documentation of products, including part and material specifications, dimensional data, operating characteristics, and installation information to support the creation of product literature.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• A minimum of 3-5 years of related experience with a solid understanding of HVAC design.

• PC skills including Microsoft Office applications. Basic skills with CAD and CFD applications, a plus.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Project management skills a plus.
